Thank you for all your feedback. 😁when you use you statements in a VERY compassionate tone it keeps the awareness on the other person who is upset and need to be heard. When you use a “you” statement it keeps the focus on you not on them. 🤗

Inserting three word comments of "you are so angry/frustrated etc", from whatever state, still seems like a move to try to affect someone else's behavior. Is this really honoring their right to be as unreasonable and attached as they want to be? It seems more like a tactic coming from the stance of "I know what would be better for you. You need to be heard so you'll stop being so upset." In holding responsibility for myself, I use "I" statements, not "you" statements.
